“The present generation of students belong to Generation Z and Generation A whereas we belong to another generation. To understand the present technology driven generation, we need to come down to their level if need engage and communicate with them” said Dr. B. S. Mahesh, a renowned Clinical Psychologist from Mangalore while addressing the Parents and Teachers of Don Bosco CBSE School, Trasi – Kundapura recently during its First Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association. He enlightened the parents with practical tips on effective parenting and drove home the message with examples drawn from the experience with his clients. Both the parents as well as teachers expressed that it was one of the best lectures on parenting so far presented at the PTA meetings.
Earlier, the meeting was presided over by the Rector and Principal of the Institution, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza. During his presidential address, he welcomed all the parents and in a special way welcomed the new parents joining the school. He stressed the importance of a CBSE education up to Class 12 to ready the students for the competition driven higher education.
Present on the dais was Fr. Roshan D’Souza, the Administrator, Fr. Bryce Rodrigues, the Vice Principal, Mr. SanthoshPais, the PTA President, Mrs. AshaCarvalho, the Secretary of the Association, 4 Coordinators of the Sections of the School. Tr.
