The School Annual Sports Meet 2025 was given a grand closure with a high-spirited Valedictory Program on 5th November 2025 at Don Bosco School, Trasi. The event was a celebration of perseverance, resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship. The attitude of not giving up was held high even with periodic interruption of rain.

The program commenced with the dignified escort of the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Gowtham Shetty, National Level Cricket and Badminton Player, Chairman of Torpedoes Cricket Club, Mangalore, along with the dignitaries of the School Management, Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues, the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias, the Administrator, Mr. Vivian Crasta, the President of PTA, and Mrs. Reena Mendonca, the Secretary of PTA to the dais by the highly skilled School Scout and Guide Colour Party. The program was given a peaceful start with a serene prayer led by the School Choir Group. The formal program comprised of a warm welcome address and introduction of the chief guest.

The esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Gowtham Shetty, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the significance of sports in building established career. He shared examples of leagues that are organised across the country for various sports at present, especially cricket, and winning each match meant earnings that are equal to annual income of a doctor or engineer. Hence, he said sports shouldn’t be neglected or put down, rather the young sportspersons should be encouraged and supported to train themselves better and participate in various tournaments, which is the path to represent state and nation. He appreciated the host school for giving equal importance to co-curricular and curricular activities.

The highlight of the program were the mesmerizing performances by the students of Yellow House and Red House. The students exhibited the beauty of teamwork, coordination and collaboration through their performances. The results of the sports meet were announced. The Vice Principal, along with the Chief Guest, presented medals and certificates to the sports champions of each category. The atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration as students from different houses cheered for their peers.

In a solemn ceremony, the School Sports Flag was lowered, marking the official conclusion of the sports meet. The Chief Guest along with the dignitaries released the Closing Scroll and declared the formal closure of the 15th Annual Sports Meet.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues, who expressed gratitude to all the participants, teachers, staff, and parents for their support and enthusiasm. Special appreciation was given to parents who were present throughout the day and also participated enthusiastically in the games. The overall House Champions and Runners of the Annual Sports Meet were also disclosed by the Vice Principal.

The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem. The Valedictory Program of Annual Sports Meet 2025 was well-coordinated by Tr. Anitha Devadiga and Tr. Rakshitha N.J.
