Catechism and Value Education Day was meaningfully celebrated in Don Bosco School, Trasi on 13th February 2026 with great enthusiasm and devotion. The program aimed at instilling moral values and faith-based learning among students.
The day began with the class-wise Chart Presentation Competition for the students of Classes I to IX. The charts were displayed in a creative manner in the school corridor. The judges for the competition were Rev. Sr. M. Supriya A.C, Superior of St. Joseph’s Convent, Kundapura, along with Ms. Grenita D’almeida, Accounts Clerk, Don Bosco School, Trasi. The students prepared the charts based on various values and lessons learnt in class, under the guidance of their teachers. The students confidently presented their charts, and answered the thoughtful questions of the judges. The impressive presentation by the students fetched appreciation of the judges for their creativity and understanding of the content.
The chart presentation was followed by the formal program, which commenced in the School Auditorium. The program began with a prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Chief Guest for the program was Rev. Sr. M. Supriya A.C, accompanied by the Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D'Souza and the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues. The warm welcome was followed by the cultural programs. The students of Catechism and Value Education from Classes I to XI presented their dance and skit based on various moral values, cooperation, gratitude, unity and kindness. The performances were greatly appreciated by everyone.
Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of values in our daily life. He encouraged the students to respect and live by the values learnt at all times. He concluded his talk with the importance of leading a life of love.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. M. Supriya A.C, addressed the gathering about helping one another and the importance of gratitude. She shared her personal experiences and encouraged students to practice kindness and service in their lives. She congratulated the students and teachers for maintaining the best practices by celebrating Catechism and Value Education Day in the school.
The Principal, in his Presidential Address discussed about this year’s Salesian Strenna, announced by Rector Major, Rev. Fr. Fabio Attard, “Do whatever he tells you- Believers, Free to Serve.” He encouraged everyone to believe in their faith and serve humanity as one. He emphasized the need to practice basic human values in everyday life and be responsible citizens of our country in the future.
The prizes were distributed to the winners of the Chart Presentation Competition and the students who secured top three positions in the Catechism and Value Education Examination from each class.
The program was efficiently planned by Tr. Sushita Dias and compered by the students. The vote of thanks was followed by the National Anthem, which marked an inspiring end to the program.
