The tiny tots of Kindergarten Section of Don Bosco School, Trasi celebrated Ethnic Day on 23rd January 2026 with great enthusiasm, featuring a vibrant display of traditional attire. The students dressed up in their traditional outfits representing various Indian states, regions, faith and culture. They shined in their colourful costumes and brought joy to the hearts of onlookers.
All the students of Kindergarten Section along with their teachers visited the Rector and Principal, Fr. Maxim D’Souza in his office, and each one was personally greeted and complimented.
The ‘Ethnic Ramp Walk’ or ‘Fashion Show’ was the highlight of the Ethnic Day Celebration. The tiny stars flaunted their costumes as they strode with their tiny steps during the ramp walk in their classrooms. They posed and waved like models for their photoshoot. Some of the students of Senior Kindergarten fluently shared the information on the customs, traditions, festival and state they were representing. The students also presented their charts and posters with the information on their traditional attire and respective culture.
The Kindergarten Teachers hosted a community lunch representing various cuisines of Karnataka and Gujarat from Jowar Roti, Idly Chutney to Dhokla. The Management and Staff enjoyed the delicacies and interacted with the little stars of the day.
The School Counselor, Tr. Rakshitha N.J interacted with all the students regarding the significance of the day and introduced the concept of ‘unity in diversity’. She shared how all of us are coming from different regions, faith, culture and ethnic background yet we are all one. She encouraged everyone to be united and build the bond of togetherness by sharing love and kindness always.
The celebration successfully fostered a sense of unity among students emphasizing the importance of appreciating and respecting the diverse cultural heritage of India.
