Mamma Margaret’s Day

On 25th November 2025, Don Bosco School, Trasi celebrated Mamma Margaret’s Day in a grand manner to show respect and reverence towards all the Co-Teaching Staff of the school. This special day is dedicated to honouring Mamma Margaret, the Mother of our School Patron, St. John Bosco, who contributed greatly in taking care of the youngsters who came from underprivileged families.

Honouring the service and dedication of the Support and Transport Staff of the school, there was a celebration in the School Auditorium under the theme: “The Divinity Hidden in Service”. They were all warmly greeted on to the dais as the Chief Guests for the day, along with the Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues and the Administrator, Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias. The program began with the prayer led by the school choir followed by the floral tribute to the portrait of Mamma Margaret.

Mr. Walter D’Souza, Transport Staff shared his views on behalf of all the Transport and Support Staff. He appreciated the work done by the Management in the development of the school. He mentioned about the care of the Management towards the students and staff and the family environment of the school, which is not found in other schools. He shared instances of care showered by the Principal during the emergencies. He also shared his experiences with fellow workers, who always keep the safety and well-being of the students as a priority.

The Administrator, Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias addressed the gathering and thanked all the transport and support staff for their endless and selfless service. He also informed the students that cleanliness of classrooms and school campus is the duty of all. He encouraged the students to greet the co-teaching staff as they are the first person the students meet every day and thank them when they drop them off from school. He enlightened the students to learn from them, as they teach values like cleanliness, dedication, humility etc in their own ways.

The co-teaching staff offered their contribution for the Silver Jubilee Project to Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza. The students entertained the guests of the day with wide range of performances. Additionally, variety of interactive and fun games were organised by the students for the co- teaching staff, adding a joyful and engaging touch to the celebration. All the co-teaching staff were given souvenirs as a token of appreciation. The winners of the games were given special gifts.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza delivered an inspiring speech, about respecting all the co- teaching staff. He shared about the important role they play in making everyone’s life at school comfortable like healthy and tasty food, safe commutation from home to school and vice versa, safe school premises, beautiful garden, and clean classrooms and campus. He also mentioned about keeping all the areas of the school campus clean as part of our service to them. The co- teaching staff were appreciated for showing the divinity in the service they do for the school and for their unwavering commitment and dedication.

The program concluded with a note of gratitude, followed by the National Anthem. The entire program was executed under the guidance of Tr. Jyothi Quadras. The celebration was a resounding success, where all the co-teaching staff were made to feel important. The event not only entertained but also strengthened the bonds within the school community. All the students were treated to ice-creams, sponsored by the co-teaching staff.
