The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting at Don Bosco School, Trasi was not merely a formal gathering, but a beautiful celebration of unity, responsibility, and shared dreams for our children’s future. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to nurturing young minds. The meeting was held in the School Auditorium on 14th February 2026.
The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Alwyn Danthy Pernal, a Teacher, Digital Creator, Anchor and Active Community Figure. The program was graciously presided over by the Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, along with the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues and the Administrator, Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias, whose constant guidance and visionary leadership continue to strengthen the school community. The PTA President, Mr. Vivian Crasta and the PTA Secretary, Mrs. Reena Mendonca, along with the Section Coordinators, Tr. Sheetal Olivera, Kindergarten Section, Tr. Pavithra, Primary Section, Tr. Smitha K, Middle and Secondary Section and Tr. Jyothi Quadras, Senior Secondary Section, added great value to the gathering with their presence and support.
The prayer reverently sung by the teachers’ choir group, invoked divine blessings upon everyone. A warm note of welcome set a gracious tone for the session.
Mr. Alwyn delivered an enlightening and thought-provoking talk on “Parenting in the AI Era.” He emphasized that comparing children is wrong, as it can hurt their feelings and reduce their self-confidence at a very early age, and the consequences of which would last a lifetime. Every child possesses unique qualities and talents. He reminded parents that they must understand their children, recognize their abilities, and encourage them with patience, love, and kindness. His heartfelt message deeply resonated with the parents, helping them clearly understand the importance of supporting their children positively. He beautifully highlighted the need to balance technology with strong values, emotional intelligence, and meaningful parent-child relationships. He inspired parents to guide their children not only toward academic excellence but also towards becoming compassionate, responsible, and morally grounded individuals in this rapidly evolving digital world.
The Principal in his Presidential Address, encouraged the parents and teachers to take note of the message conveyed by the Resource Person effectively. He shared the importance of instilling human values among our children to retain humanity and peace, and Don Bosco institutions are known for this value-based education. He encouraged parents to be role models and live these values, so it is easy for the students to imitate and become responsible citizens. He shared examples of our alumni, who are excelling in their education and career. The students are given a platform for holistic development in our institution and thus, they stand out in their academics and co-curricular activities during their higher education.
The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The session ended with refreshments and informal interactions, further deepening the spirit of unity and cooperation between parents and teachers.
The PTA meeting stood as a powerful reminder that when parents and educators walk hand in hand, children truly thrive. It reaffirmed the unwavering dedication of our institution in building not just academically successful students, but confident, ethical, and future-ready individuals.
