Trasi, September 5, 2026: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with cinematic grandeur and heartfelt gratitude at Don Bosco CBSE School, Trasi, on 5 September 2026. Centred around the glamorous theme “Bollywood,” the event was organized to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of the educators.
The blockbuster celebration commenced at 11:00 a.m. in the School Auditorium, which was transformed into a majestic red-carpet venue. Matching the “Bollywood” theme, the teachers were given a celebrity-style grand welcome with flashing spark lights, flowers, and greetings, symbolizing deep respect and admiration.
The formal program began with a solemn prayer service led by the school choir group. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by the members of the management and faculty. In a heart-warming gesture, the Principal individually welcomed each educator to the event with a floral token. A cake-cutting ceremony followed, marking a sweet and joyous beginning to the festivities.
During the formal stage program, Tr. Juliet S. Dias shared an inspiring reflection on her journey of over a decade at Don Bosco School, Trasi, extending her gratitude to all the stakeholders who have supported her career. Additionally, a student from Class II, Aarvi P. Hegde, delivered a heartfelt speech, moving the audience with innocent words of appreciation for the teachers.
The students of Classes VI, VII, VIII, X and XII put up a spectacular show, presenting a variety of dazzling, cinema-inspired cultural performances to entertain and express their gratitude to their mentors. Following the stage entertainment, the senior students took charge and conducted a series of engaging, high-energy games for the teachers, who participated with immense enthusiasm.
As a token of love and appreciation, the Student Council presented gifts to all the faculty members, followed by the distribution of prizes to the winners of the various games. The Rector and Principal, Fr. Maxim D’Souza, addressed the gathering, highlighting the pivotal role teachers play in shaping society. He motivated everyone to uphold the core values of education and dedication, warmly praising the faculty for their hard work in turning Don Bosco School, Trasi, into an outstanding institution and a nurturing family for its students.
The formal morning session concluded with the distribution of delicious snacks and drinks, followed by a special celebratory lunch for the teachers. The excitement continued into the afternoon as the students organized an energetic game of musical chairs and a thrilling treasure hunt. The memorable day culminated in a lively dance session where teachers and students hit the floor together.
The faculty highly appreciated the student members of the School Cabinet and the Junior College for executing the grand “Bollywood” celebration flawlessly and making it an unforgettable day.
