Day of Co-Taching Staff Celebrated at Don Bosco Trasi

As one of the unique practices in Don Bosco School Trasi, every year the Feast Day of the mother of the School Patron Don Bosco is celebrated as ‘Mamma Margaret’s Day’. On this day the co-teaching staff (commonly known as non-teaching staff) of the school are recognized and felicitated for their valuable services to the institution. Though the official day falls on November 25, it was celebrated on 5th December this year owning to the Annual Thanksgiving Day celebrations around that time.

The chief guest of the day namely the bus drivers, cleaning and cooking staff, security and gardeners were escorted on to the stage by the Rector & Principal, Fr. Maxim D’Souza, accompanied by the Administrator Fr. Roshan D’Souza and Vice Principal Fr. Ronald Vaz. The guests on the dias honoured Mamma Margaret by the showering of petals. In his key note address, Fr. Roshan enlightened the audience about the role played by Mamma Margaret in Don Bosco’s mission and highlighted how the co-teaching staff are playing an important role by their sincere and dedicated service, thus each of them teaching valuable lessons for life through the services they are providing. The students too, honoured the guests with their valuable words and praises.

The students put up cultural items and conducted games to make the guests of the day happy. Fr. Maxim D’Souza in his presidential address reminded the students how the co-teaching staff are rendering invaluable service without being recognized. He appreciated their sense of belongingness to the School and love for Don Bosco, in the way they go beyond their prescribed duties. On behalf all the co-teaching staff, Mr. Bharat Kumar, a driver shared his experiences regarding the School that Don Bosco children can be noticed at once among other school students. He appreciated the Management for creating a family atmosphere in the school that allows all the staff to work happily. The program was coordinated by Tr.
