Trasi, August 18, 2026: Rector’s Day was celebrated at Don Bosco School, Trasi, marking the birthday of the school’s patron saint, St. John Bosco. The event was held in honour of the Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, to express the deep love, gratitude, and appreciation of the entire school community for his dedicated service and inspiring leadership.

The programme began with a warm welcome and a cake-cutting ceremony, setting a joyful and respectful tone for the celebration. The beautifully decorated auditorium, adorned in an elegant golden-and-white theme, added grandeur and warmth to the occasion.

In his speech, the Vice Principal described Fr. Maxim D’Souza as a disciplined leader who is consistently creative in his work. He highlighted the special bond the Rector shares with the students, often bringing them joy and laughter, while his wisdom and broad vision continue to inspire the entire school community.

The Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, then addressed the gathering, sharing insights from the life of Don Bosco, who dedicated himself entirely to the upliftment of young people. He emphasized that students must follow the path of Don Bosco, guided by the core values of love, discipline, and service.

Expressing their gratitude, the students presented a heartfelt citation highlighting the Rector’s remarkable qualities, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the school. The citation beautifully expressed how his leadership and vision serve as a guiding light for both teachers and students.

Adding vibrancy to the celebration, students put up energetic and graceful dance performances. Their enthusiastic items reflected their affection and respect for the Rector, bringing great joy to everyone present.

A special moment of the celebration was the presentation of a beautifully designed photo frame and citation frame. These were gifted as tokens of love, respect, and gratitude by the Section Coordinators—a thoughtful gesture that made the occasion even more memorable and meaningful.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which brought a dignified end to the event. The entire programme was seamlessly coordinated under the guidance of Tr. Anitha Devadiga, who was the teacher-in-charge of the event.
