School Inaugural Program

The School Inaugural Program of Don Bosco School, Trasi, for the academic year 2026–27 was held on 1st June 2026 in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm, positivity, and joy. The program marked the beginning of a new academic journey filled with hope, learning, and success.

This year's inauguration was made even more meaningful as the institution joined in celebrating 150 Years of the Preventive System of Education of Don Bosco, a system founded on the pillars of Reason, Religion, and Loving-Kindness. The celebration highlighted Don Bosco's rich educational legacy in shaping young minds with values, discipline, and compassion.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn prayer service led by the teachers, invoking God's blessings upon the institution, staff, students, and parents for the new academic year.

The auspicious lighting of the lamp followed, symbolizing the removal of darkness and the spread of knowledge and wisdom.

The gathering was warmly welcomed by Tr. Sunitha D'Lima through her heartfelt welcome address. She extended greetings to all the dignitaries, teachers, students, and parents and emphasized the importance of education in shaping young minds.

The dignitaries present on the occasion were Rev. Fr. Maxim Dsouza, Rector and Principal; Fr. Sandesh Simon Fernandes, Vice Rector and Vice Principal; and Fr. Arnold Mathais, Administrator. The coordinators of the four sections—Tr. Anitha, Tr. Pavitra, Tr. Sheetal, and Tr. Smitha—were also introduced during the program.

A special moment of the ceremony was the welcoming of the new students with flowers by Rev. Fr. Maxim Dsouza, making them feel loved and encouraged as they stepped into a new phase of learning. The new teachers were warmly welcomed with flowers by Fr. Sandesh Simon Fernandes.

One of the highlights of the program was the unveiling of the theme for the academic year, "Education is a Matter of the Heart," by Rev. Fr. Maxim Dsouza. The theme beautifully reflected the mission of nurturing young minds through knowledge, discipline, values, and creativity.

The school rules and regulations were read aloud by the teachers to guide students towards responsible behaviour, discipline, and academic excellence.

In his inspiring address, Rev. Fr. Maxim Dsouza emphasized the importance of education, discipline, respect, and dedication. His motivating words encouraged students to dream big, work hard, and grow into responsible citizens with strong moral values.

The program concluded with a sincere vote of thanks proposed by Sir Michael, who expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

Finally, the program came to an end with the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and unity.

The entire program was efficiently organized and coordinated by the program in-charge teachers, Tr. Reshma and Tr. Anjana, whose dedication and teamwork made the event meaningful and memorable.
