Trasi, July 6, 2026: In a vibrant celebration of leadership, responsibility, and youthful commitment, Don Bosco School, Trasi, conducted the Investiture Ceremony of the School Student Cabinet for the academic year 2026–27 in the school auditorium. The solemn yet colourful event marked the official installation of the newly elected student leaders who will guide and represent the student community during the academic year.

The ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Edison Fernandes, SDB, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied on the dais by Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, Rector and Principal; Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias, Administrator; and Rev. Fr. Sandesh Fernandes, Vice Rector and Vice Principal.

The programme began with a solemn prayer song invoking God’s blessings upon the newly appointed leaders and the entire school community. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp of wisdom, symbolizing enlightenment, knowledge, and the guiding values of true leadership. Rithvik B. Poojary Class VII warmly welcomed the gathering.

Addressing the students, Fr. Edison Fernandes reminded the young leaders that leadership is not a position of power but a call to serve others with humility and dedication. Drawing inspiration from the life of St. Dominic Savio, he encouraged the students to become role models who lead through discipline, compassion, and integrity.

The ceremony then proceeded with the installation of the class monitors, including both boy and girl representatives from Classes VI to XII. They were administered the oath of office and honoured by Fr. Sandesh Fernandes. The House Coordinators were subsequently felicitated by Fr. Arnold Mathias.

One of the most impressive moments of the ceremony was the entry of the School House Captains and Vice Captains, who were escorted to the dais by the School Colour Party. The Chief Guest administered the oath to them and invested them with their sashes. The School Opposition Party Leader and members were also sworn in by Fr. Arnold Mathias, highlighting the school's commitment to democratic values and constructive student participation.

The highlight of the ceremony was the installation of the School Head Boy, School Head Girl, Assistant Head Boy, and Assistant Head Girl. Escorted by the Colour Party, they took the oath before the Principal, who invested them with badges and sashes.

Adding a new dimension to student motivation, the House Point System Board was inaugurated by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries. In his concluding address, Fr. Maxim D’Souza congratulated all the student leaders, urging them to lead by example. He also appreciated Tr. Vanitha Crasta for meticulously organizing the programme.

Reesa P. Lobo of Class VII proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone whose support contributed to the success of the event. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

The grand Investiture Ceremony not only celebrated the appointment of new student leaders but also reaffirmed Don Bosco School’s mission of forming responsible citizens and compassionate leaders ready to serve society with dedication, integrity, and courage.
